The Sacred Well of All Saints
Parts One & Two
For those readers who have read Waking Wisdom We Are One just skip to part two of this blog.
It is the night of my mother’s birthday in March 2016 and although she is dead, ( Dreamer Entered Another Dimension ) she is about to gift me a fabulous dream.
I wake in the middle of the night and decide to indulge in an active imaginal journey. As often happens I am immediately asleep again and dreaming but now lucid. I find myself in a cave in the company of a lovely gentle man dressed as a monk in a brown hooded robe. Outside it is snowing. There is a large bath sized well in the middle of the cave, it is filled with golden water. I hear that I am at the Sacred Well of the Saints in the Himalayas. I wonder if that includes all the saints of the world from all traditions or just the Tibetan ones. A voice tells me that it is All Saints. In the back wall of the cave, which itself has a golden glow, is an opening, the monk, who I learn is Saint Stephen, beckons me to follow him through that hole in the wall and we pass through it and journey just a little way into a beautiful wild valley. Protected inside a ring of mountains the land is green, lush and flourishing.
A small bird flies right up to me, totally unafraid, I realise that nothing here is frightened of mankind, I am in the hidden land of Shangri La, paradise on Earth. We go back into the cave and Stephen tells me the password to the Well of the Saints and the symbol of the Well. I am welcome to come as often and whenever I like. I am made aware that I should attend regularly to help heal my arthritic hands. I can indeed come and go as I please. I wake.
Later that day my husband and I go to the movies to see the film Insurgent 2, also known as Allegiant. Towards the end of the film one of the characters states that Divergents aren’t the problem ( in the world ) they are the answer. As an urban shaman I identify strongly with this sentiment and with divergents that come my way. However, I digress.
When we leave the movie it is quite dark outside, even so I notice a small object on the ground, it has rolled into a crack where two segments of paving meet. My intuition pulls at me and I stoop and pick it up. In the middle of a regional city in Australia, far from the mystic land of the Himalayas I find myself holding a small brass Tibetan bell. Goosebumps galore!
In the weeks that follow other things happen that resonate with the dream. I rescue a bird that is on the brink of death. I carry it clutched to my heart chakra for over an hour, talking to the bird, soothing it until suddenly it shakes off the shock that has kept it moribund. Rapidly I become aware that the feathered one is ready to return to its wild winged life. When I set it free the small body doesn’t quite gain enough height and lands on the ground. I cross the road and pick it up and realise it no longer has any fear of me whatsoever, just like the bird in the dream. I place it up high and it makes its way to a shrub and slips under the leaves into cover. When I peak in the little one is preening happily and I know all is well. Perhaps kindness leads us to that magic garden of peace and tranquility.
About two weeks later I wake in the middle of the night and can’t return to my slumber. I decide to astrally travel to a friend’s side in hospital where she is very ill with cancer. Then, with her guide’s permission, I take her to the Sacred Well of the Saints in the Himalayas and I drop her into the golden water. I am half awake half asleep as this takes place, drifting in that numinous land between the realms, the place of harmony and peace where miracles happen and the cosmos whispers magic that stirs the soul. When I wake I feel very guilty that I didn’t take my husband on this astral adventure. He had an upcoming appointment for a medical check following cancer treatment and was quite concerned about his health at the time. I decide not to mention my night time healing activities.
My husband was the talkative one however. Not normally a great dream recaller, he tells me of a strange and wonderful dream he had experienced during the night. He was in an immense golden healing cave in the Himalayas! Many healers and patients were there, he could smell incense and was given a healing by a woman, she massaged him and he was washed and then taken to a hole in the back wall of the cavern. Outside a levitation class was being held.
I can only think I picked him up and took him along on a healing journey or he sensed me leaving and hitched a lift.
Taken as a dream and post dream event all rolled into one this proved to be a life altering experience casting new perspectives on beliefs held around dreams and reality and the connections of consciousness that exist between minds and beyond the body. It makes mist of the boundaries between the dream, the spiritual and the physical realms. The veils between realms are fabricated by our beliefs pertaining to them. In fact each reality can reach out and lovingly touch the other in magnificent moments of co creating and healing.
A little brass bell sits beside my dream journal to signal confidently that magic and miracles truly happen when we place belief to one side and invite love and truth to shine a new reality.
On the 1st of October 2020 I submitted a request to White Crow Books that they read and accept my recent manuscript. A chapter in that book is Part One of The Sacred Well Of All Saints and my meeting with St Stephen. When I was on the White Crow website I noticed that they were the publishers of Reverend Michael Cocks’ book Afterlife Teaching from Stephen the Martyr. I purchased this book on Amazon Kindle in March 2019. It was bought simply because I was astounded that ‘my’ Saint Stephen had indeed been very active previously. Michael had been part of a group that met for 8 years to talk with Stephen via a medium. Although I bought it with every intention of reading it for some reason I only read 10% according to my kindle and then I must have been distracted by other things.
When I saw that White Crow was the publisher of the book about St Stephen already I thought it was a marvellous coincidence. The following week, on October the 6th I facilitated my biweekly dream circle zoom group. Truly I don’t recall how it came about but one of the circle members mentioned that she knew Michael Cocks the author of Afterlife Teaching from Stephen the Martyr. He had been her Minister in Gothenburg, Sweden. I replied that this was very significant for me but didn’t explain why. Not long after this comment I noticed that someone had arrived in the zoom waiting room half an hour into the meeting. The name of this person was Michael Cocks. My face must have been quite a study when I saw that name. I asked the group if any of them had invited Michael to our meeting, no one had.
The dream circle is one of quite a few global meetings that are advertised in an emailed weekly newsletter. Michael Cocks had simply decided to have a listen to my group on that particular day at that particular moment. As anyone can imagine the synchronicity was remarkable to all concerned when I informed the group, and Michael, of my own Stephen experiences. I also shared that I meet with St Caspar too and have met others at the Sacred Well. I made a point of emailing Part One of my tale to all the group participants within minutes of the meeting ending so there could be no question of my having ‘ made the whole thing up.’ Needless to say I found it a very affirming event, the manuscript in question being greatly concerned with the wisdom garnered from such guides as Stephen.
I took the opportunity of letting White Crow Books know of this amazing synchronicity also but they were apparently unimpressed as I have never heard back from them. Seems a shame really as I think Stephen would have approved of their involvement.
Very positive responses to the Sacred Well story were received and I felt in some way that paths were opening up. Later in the day I heard a voice say, ‘The Wheel Of Fortune.” I thought only of the game show and couldn’t see any relevance but when I did a search for it what came up was a Tarot Card, The Wheel of Fortune. This card apparently signifies; destiny, good luck, power, wisdom abundance and elevation. Also it is the card signifying the ending of a cycle and the beginning of a new one. Tarot has never interested me much and I had no idea that such a card existed.
As a sequel to all this marvellousness I had a hypnopompic vision one morning. Stephen, Caspar and I were standing beside the Well each with a cup filled with golden Well water. We touched our cups together and I heard someone say, ‘an alliance’. My life is amazing and I am so very blessed. Even more was to follow in February 2022 after publishing Book Two of the Waking Wisdom trilogy, We Are One.
In this book was Part One of The Sacred Well of All Saints. I decided that I should post Part Two in this blog. As the account was already written all I needed to do was find an appropriate photograph to accompany the account. I opened photos on my computer, the recent photos come up as tiny thumbnails at the base of the page. I knew I had nothing in the last week or two so tapped about in the middle of the row and instantly a photo popped up on my screen from May 2011. Only photographs from the last month were available. I have absolutely no idea as to how this could happen, it has never happened previously.
It was the photo attached to this blog, it is of San Felipe de Neri Church in Albuquerque. I had been in New Mexico in 2011 for a shamanic event. It took me some time to identify the church, and, as I am sure can be appreciated, I was rather hoping it would be of a church dedicated to Saint Stephen. However it is dedicated to Saint Philip Neri, the patron Saint of laughter and joy. In my daily prayers I send love, light and laughter to all aspects of us lost in the belief of separation, and, in loving oneness, I greet the joy of All being. It is so exciting to have another Saint introduce himself to me in such a tech savvy manner. I never cease to marvel at the adroitness of life when not in this matter form. What wonders lie ahead?
